Applying for a Problogging job? Here are some tips from Mr. Mike Leano, Videogame Channel Editor for B5 Media, one of the biggest blogging networks in the world.
- Never forget to include your writing samples! This is the best way to catch our attention when applying for that coveted gaming blog.
- Keep your writing samples concise. It can really be a chore to wade through oceans of applications, with each one sporting a voluminous sample.
- Don’t report the news. Instead, talk about your views. We already know what’s happening in gaming since we do read about it on a daily basis. What we want to know is what’s between your ears.
- In addition to your writing sample/s, do include links to your other works. Just make sure they’re related to whatever it is you’re applying for.
- After sending your application, relax. There’s no need to follow up every other hour. If we like your stuff, we’ll contact you.
