What is Post Folding?

Here ’s a good article about blogging and posting articles online, specifically about post folding. What is Post folding? According to the article: “Post folding is the act of just supplying an intro to the post, such as the first paragraph.” Useful for those who use a tab based navigation or for people who just want to potentially increase pageviews.

With tabbed browsing these days, I think post folding is the way to go. Visitors will be able to see more topics and can open posts like a todo list. The exception would be if you have older readers, such as people that tend to take one path through the internet. I often times just open a list of links in new tabs and read through them like pages in a book. If you stay away from post folding you are likely to have a bad post at the top of a page and that will deter visitors, rather than having a few posts in view.
