How do pinoy probloggers earn money?
There are a couple of ways probloggers earn money otherwise referred to as “monetization”. Here are two of the most common methods:

1) through placing web advertising on their blog from such entities as Google Adsense, Text Link Ads or Adbrite.
2) blogging network revenue
Advertising
Earning via advertising is simple. Install the advertiser code into your blog and let your users do the rest. Here are some web advertising terminology to get you started:
- CPM ads is where Advertiser pays for banner impressions,
- CPC stands for “Cost per Click”. In CPC campaign the Advertiser pays for the number of clicks on his banner, ignoring how many times these banners have been displayed.
- CPA stands for “Cost per Action”. In CPA campaign the Advertiser pays for the number of certain actions on advertiser’s site, performed by the visitors who came to that site by clicking to the banner. These actions vary from: purchasing a product, to filling in a form, and subscribing to service
- Time Frame (Sponsorship) campaign means selling a certain advertising space for a fixed period of time.
One important thing to keep track of when running ads on your blog is your CTR, or Click Through Ratio. It allows both the publisher and advertiser to know how many ad clicks were done per 100 impressions. It may just be the most important indication of banner effectiveness.
For example, a CTR of 2% means that the ad image/banner/link was displayed 100 times, and two visitors clicked on it.
Network Bloggers
According to my B5 Media channel editor Jayvee, there are 3 basic types of payment schemes for network bloggers:
- the revenue share scheme where you earn a cut from network advertising
- the blogger salary scheme where you are paid a fixed rate per month
- the pay per post scheme where you are paid based on the number of posts you make
