Before you join a blog network…
Here are some advice on what to do, what to prepare for and what needs to be done before attempting to join a blog network:
- Joining a network is work, it is a job as you are getting paid for it. be ready to fulfill post requirements such as 1 post a day or 6 posts a week. It varies per network and the frequency depends on how much content is needed to be built.
- You are usually asked the question: What topic do you want to blog about? Be ready to explain why you are the best blogger for the job. What makes you special? What is your unique twist on things? Why should i go to your blog? Dont go spewing nonsense like “Im the best blogger..” or “Im great at [topic]“. Show proof of your mastery of the subject. Show your blog posts. Submit a list of your previous jobs that are related to the topic.
- Do a bit of background work before you start. Check out other blogs in your niche and learn what makes them tick. Also learn what makes them weak or uninteresting.
- Preparing a couple of introductory articles for the topic can help battle writer’s block once you get control of a blog
- Your primary role when joining a blog network would be building content and a loyal community. Keep this in mind. This is your goal.
There are a few blog network openings here in the philippines. Let me know if you are interested.
